KATE CLOUD

           Raised in a valley tucked within the Cascade Mountains, is where my story began. The natural beauty I grew up surrounded by unquestionably formed the mighty root from which my artsy and adventurous mind blossomed. My time as a child was spent mostly outdoors climbing trees, building forts in the woods, and playing with animals. When trapped indoors I escaped through my imagination, using paper, paint, crayons, pencils, books, poetry…anything I could find became my windows.

Today, not much has changed aside from scale… My adventures are a little bigger then the back yard… I’ve walked/backpacked across 17 states so far along the Appalachian and Pacific Crest Foot Trails- These experiences and the many more to come are creating an arsenal of inspiration for the day I can no longer escape the indoors and become a full time artist. My passion is far from one-sided however, and although my art has taken a to the back seat a bit these days it too has expanded. To date I can boast just a bit of having had the honor of creating murals around the country, private collections around the world, countless custom works, a fun little painting party business, and more.

My heart is forever committed to these passions, and to me, sharing them with others is what makes the sunrise just as inspiring as the sunset.
